After you have cleaned the stove out with the brush you will need to make sure that you have not missed any spots whatsoever.

Is a brush all you need?

  • Keep in mind that there are only certain parts of a pellet stove which are meant to be cleaned by a brush. Certain larger areas you will want to use a vacuum on because it will be more efficient. There will be different sizes you will be able to choose from when it comes to brushes for your stove, so make sure you review all of your options very carefully. You do not necessarily have to purchase a brush that is advertised explicitly for use with a stove, as a painting brush should be enough. Some of the brushes which you can find that are specifically meant to be used with various types of stoves will have a rod attached to it so you will be able to get into all of those tight spaces. Make sure that the one you get is long enough to accommodate your own specific needs.

Some brushes can be used for both stoves and vents, so you might want to look into getting a multi-purpose brush which will be able to help you clean whatever you need to around the house. There is what is called spin brushes which are perfect for cleaning out a semi-large area quickly and efficiently, so you will certainly want to look into maybe getting one of these for your stove. Make sure that the material that your brush is made out of is conducive for cleaning out stoves effectively and thoroughly so you don’t experience any problems with how it works with your pellet stove.
